Our Beef

How Does The Process Work?

CHOOSE YOUR BEEF

We sell our beef in quarters, halves or wholes. Now, this is an important choice and we’re going to break this down for you by weight and how much freezer space you need for each cut of beef. Bear in mind, each freezer is a little different, so look at the size freezer you have and make sure you have enough space for the size beef you choose!

1

THE DEPOSIT

You don’t pay for your beef all at once. It’s spread out. Typically, in the spring you will pay a deposit to secure your spot and your beef. This presents two advantages. First, you can budget for your beef a little bit more by spreading out the cost. Second, you can plan out your freezer space. If you know that you need some space in that freezer of yours, you can spend the time between the spring and fall getting your freezer ready. Once you decide whether you want a quarter, half or whole beef, we’ll send you a Venmo request for your deposit, or we will happily accept cash or check as well!

PICKUP

You put in your deposit, you paid for your beef, you waited and it is finally here! North Fork Packing will call you to tell you that your beef is ready to be picked up. It’s a lot of beef that you will be picking up! Remember to bring an ice chest or two and some boxes (don’t come in a little car). When you arrive at North Fork Packing, go in and let the nice folks in the shop know you’re there to pick up your beef. They will get your information, and settle up with you for your cutting, wrapping and processing fee.

We’re confident that once you experience the quality of your beef from WaHoo Ranch you’ll be a customer year after year. Please keep in mind that this is not the same beef that has been processed multiple times at a grocery store so it won’t have coloring additives that you might see at a grocery store.
